SWIFT JET (8yo b g) broke his maiden emphatically by 14 lengths at Doncaster on Saturday 27th February in the Go North Brindisi Breeze Series Qualifier Handicap Hurdle over three miles. Swift Jet made all under Harry Bannister and had enough in hand to be eased down close home.

Purchased from Ballymaglassan Farm for £32,000 by Gerry Hogan Bloodstock/Richard Phillips. Congratulations to trainer Richard Phillip, owners Halsall, Jensen, Lukas & Purves and breeders G Durrheim & Maria Mulcahy Durrheim.

£230,000 buy, JET OF STARS (5yo b g) made a winning debut under rules for Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore by 9 1/2 lengths. Having made a winner debut between the flags at Oldtown in February 2025, Jet Of Stars sold to Fyffe/Russell/McIvor for £230,000 and justified the excitement behind that price tag when winning comfortably on debut.

This exciting 5yo son of Jet Away will be one to watch going forward for a team who do so well with the stallion. Congratulations to connections including breeders Arctic Tack Stud & Crossogue Stud.

Fledgling trainer Nick Scholfield looks to have an exciting prospect on his hands in OTIE’S FRIEND (5yo b g). This progressive gelding has only had three starts to date and been placed and won once. Otie’s Friend recorded a cosy win at Plumpton under Keilan Woods on Monday stepped up to 2m2f for the first time. This son of Jet Away was unsold in January at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Sale having finished 2nd on debut but looks sure to be worth a lot more with a valuable win to his name, should connections decide to head back to the ring.
