
Jet Away In Strong Demand At Land Rover Sale
The promising start Jet Away has made at stud continued with a strong representation in Part 2 of the Goffs Land Rover Sale being headed by a gelding being purchased by leading trainer Joseph O’Brien for €45,000.
The progeny of the multiple Group-winning son of Cape Cross where is strong demand at the May Store Sale with no sign of this abating based on the good sale returns at the Land Rover Sale.
In total six Jet Away’s sold for an aggregate of €113,000 and median price of €17,500 with the top lot by Jet Away representing the seventh highest price paid in the session.
The gelding purchased by O’Brien, catalogued as Lot 495, is a half-brother to three winners and stakes performed Baileys Concerto. He is from the family of stakes winners Master Medic and No Hill.
The top lot was supplemented by a pair of €20,000 purchases from the consignment of Peter Nolan Bloodstock, including Lot 523, the first foal out of a half-sister to Grade One winner Blow By Blow, who was purchased by leading trainer Gordon Elliott with Aidan O’Ryan.
