First Mare Booked to Jet Away Confirmed as How Provincial
The first mare to visit the Group Three Easter Handicap winner Jet Away will be How Provincial, a daughter of the Group One-winning sire Be My Native and dam of the exciting National Hunt prospect, General Principle.
Having already produced two winners over jumps in Ireland to date in Bella Mana Mou and Saints And Sinners, How Provincial added the debutant General Principle to her honour roll as he took out Punchestown’s two mile bumper by an impressive 22 lengths for trainer Gordon Elliot and owner Gigginstown House Stud. The six-year-old is a son of the former Arctic Stud sire Gold Well.
Jet Away’s stud manager, Eoin Banville, is excited by the prospect of the stallion getting to work and compares him favourably with former resident Gold Well. “I’m absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to stand Jet Away,” he said.
“I haven’t been as excited about a horse that I have had in Arctic Stud since Gold Well.
