Daughter of Jet Away Realises £300,000
Leading young sire Jet Away popularity in the sale ring continued on Tuesday when his five-year-old daughter Hollymount sold to Beactive Stud for £300,000 at the Goffs UK January Sale Part 1 – Online HIT & Breeding Stock Sale.
A recent eight length winner of a Carlisle Maiden Hollymount follows on the heals of the promising Brandy Love who realised £200,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale.
Jet Away, already the sire of four winners under rules and five point-to-point winner, has arguably made one of the best starts at stud by a young national hunt stallion in recent times.
His owner Douglas Taylor recently purchased Grade One winner Laurina to be covered by Jet Away further exhibiting his support and faith in the young son of Cape Cross who hails from the great Hasili family.
“Douglas has supported Jet Away from the beginning and his faith is being repaid in spades,” said Arctic Tack’s Eoin Banville who stand Jet Away.
“The phone has not stopped ringing and it is particular gratifying to see his stock perform both on the racecourse and int he sales ring.”
Jet Away will stand for a fee of €6,000 (€4,000 for a filly) in 2021.
